FIFA Confederations Cup 2009

The FIFA Confederations Cup is an official FIFA tournament, held every four years. In recent times, it has been seen as a warm-up competion to the FIFA World Cup. The tournament was originally organized by Saudi Arabia and the name of event was King Fahd Cup. Previous winners are Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Denmark, and France.

In the 2009 edition, the continental champions from South America, North and Central America and the Caribbean, Africa, Europe and Asia will join hosts South Africa in competing for the trophy.
