Frank Lampard

Frank Lampard plays centre midfielder for Chelsea FC and is considered one of the best in the world, most known for his powerful midfield shots. He comes from a strong football dynasty as the son of Frank Lampard Sr., a former England full back and two-time FA Cup winner with West Ham United. Frank Lampard Jr. began his professional career playing at West Ham where his father was assistant manager before signing with Chelsea on May 15, 2001 for a reported £11 million. At the time, many believed Chelsea had overpaid for the young player, but it soon became clear Lampard was an all-time bargain. As a current England national football team player, he has been able to silence critics with his aggressive attacking and dead ball ability. He's also the highest-scoring midfielder in Chelsea FC history.

Frank Lampard Jr. has collected an impressive number of achievements in a very short amount of time. He's credited as being the first Chelsea midfielder to score a hat-trick in both English cup tournaments, has won the English Premiership twice, the FA Cup twice, the League Cup, the FA Community Shield, and the UEFA Intertoto Cup. He was voted the Official England Player of the Year by fans in 2004 and 2005. In November 2005 he was named runner-up to Brazilian midfielder Ronaldinho in the European Footballer of the Year awards.
