Club Overview

Derry City are one of the leading clubs in the Republic of Ireland's Eircom Premier League. Although based in Northern Ireland they have played in the Republic's "League of Ireland" since 1985. Previous to this point Derry had played in Northern Ireland's "Irish League" but were ejected in 1972 due to safety fears over the "troubles".
