Chivas Overview
The only Mexican team with more fans than Club Deportivo Guadalajara - popularly known as Chivas - is the Mexican national team. The famous Chivas ("goats" in Spanish) with their red-and-white stripes are adored throughout all of Mexico, and especially in Jalisco. The club is the most successful in the Mexican Primera Division and Chivas has taken home 10 championships. CD Guadalajara's golden time was when they won eight titles from the 1956-57 season to the 1969-70 season.
Chivas are noted for having only Mexican players on their roster. Because of this tradition, Chivas have a history of supplying great players to the Mexican national team, from longtime legend Antonio "Toto" Carbajal to defender Claudio Suarez to Ramon Morales.
Chivas Club History
The history of Guadalajara dates back to 1906, one of the largest warehouses of the Pearl of the West, curiously called "Mexico City", employees formed a football team with sponsorship from the owners of the store, headed by The Belgian, born in the city of Brugge - Don Edgard Everaert. Club Guadalajara won the first title, this being the first trophy of many that they have collected in the beautiful trophy room of the Coloma Club. The first president was elected was Rafael Orozco, who relinquished his post after Don Gregorio Orozco.

Sobre los derechos de transmisión del Guadalajara, señaló que las negociaciones continúan, que no tienen prisa en cerrar cuanto antes, ya que todavía tienen tiempo para lograr un buen arreglo.
Señaló que ESPN "es un candidato, estamos negociando. Todos están parejos (Televisa, ESPN y otras), hay muchas cosas a valorar, no solamente lo económico y como tenemos hasta el nueve de agosto, aún contamos con tiempo".

Una vez que regrese el equipo de enfrentar al Barcelona el domingo en Estados Unidos, Chivas se tomará la foto oficial, "ya tenemos planeado algo, luego les diremos de qué se trata".

Chivas play their home games at the 70,000-seat Estadio Jalisco, which is shared with Atalas. A new Chivas stadium is being built that Chivas will use alone. It will resemble a volcano.
