Club Deportivo Guadalajara - popularly known as Chivas - is probably the most famous club in Mexico. The club was founded in 1906 in the state of Jalisco in Mexico and has won the Mexican league championship 10 times.
Chivas has the most devoted fans in all of Mexico and undoubtedly the largest fan base. Even in the most hidden parts of Mexico there is a Chivas fan. The nationalism that envelops Chivas makes this team truly Mexican, and the pride in every fan demonstrates that.

Chivas reached the semifinals of Copa Libertadores out of 16 clubs, 6 more than the whole of Sao Paulo. The adventure of the Copa Libertadores for Chivas began with the Interliga in January, and then with the win to face Colo Colo of Chile.
