Club America

Club de Fútbol América, known by Mexican football fans as Club América (or simply América), is a Mexican football club that plays in the Primera Division. Club America is reputed to be the richest football club in North and South America. The club is one of the most successful soccer teams in the CONCACAF region having won 5 Champions Leagues. Club America is tied for having the most national titles in Mexico with 10 championships, just one behind the club's archrival Chivas of Guadalajara.

"Azulcrema" was founded on October 12, 1916 in Mexico City. America plays in the legendary Aztec Stadium in Santa Ursula. The home uniform of the "Cremas" has remained almost the same since its founding, with a bright yellow jersey and blue shorts. The young goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa is one of the stars of Club America and most of the Mexican journalists consider him the best goalie in Mexico. The Paraguayan striker Salvador Cabañas is also one of the biggest stars of the football squad, the Guarani forward is consider to be one of the best footballers in the Americas.
