Inter discuss swap deal with Barca Inter Milan have confirmed they are in talks with Barcelona over the possible transfer of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the Nou Camp. This deal which could cost Inter €40million would also see Samuel Eto'o as well as Alexander Hleb move the other way. Inter president Massimo Moratti met his Barca counterpart Joan Laporta last night to discuss the future of both players.

Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic brushed aside transfer talk as he joined his Inter Milan team-mates in pre-season training. The 27-year-old Sweden striker has been linked with clubs all over Europe in recent months, with Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid all reportedly interested. "I'm happy to be here in Appiano (Inter's training ground)," said Ibrahimovic on the club's official TV channel.

Inter Milan have given up on signing Chelsea pair Ricardo Carvalho and Deco for the time being. The duo had been linked with a move to the San Siro where they would link up with former Porto coach Jose Mourinho. Reports had suggested Inter sent a representative to London to talk with Chelsea about a possible deal for the two Portuguese players, but the Italians' transfer consultant Lele Oriali insisted that was untrue.

Barcelona and Juventus are reportedly negotiating a deal for a player swap involving Christian Poulsen and Martin Caceres. Sport is reporting that Barca are eager to offload Caceres to Juve, the top candidate to land the defender. Caceres' agent has claimed that the Bianconeri are the preferred destination of his client, given his lack of appearances for La Blaugrana.

Emmanuel Adebayor insisted Man City was always his first-choice destination after his move to Eastlands from Arsenal was finalised. The 25-year-old Togo striker passed his medical today and has joined the Blues on a five-year contract for an undisclosed fee. He had been linked with moves to AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea over the past 12 months but maintained tonight that free-spending City were top of his list.
