Club Overview
Almeria are a new team in comparison to other teams in La Liga having been founded in 1989. It's only recently, 2001, that they have been UD Almeria, after combining Almeria CF and Polideportivo. They have only spent one season in the Premier Division, last year and finished 8th with 52 points, from 14 wins, 10 draws and 14 loses.
Club History
There was another team AD Almeria, who played in the first division between 1979-1981 but vanished in 1982 and were born again in 1989. They have spent most of their time in the Second division but got promoted for finishing 2nd in 2007, and in their first year in the Premier division finished a remarkable 8th.
