More Eduardo Fallout: The Mentality of British Football

08:38 PM, Sunday, 24 February 2008

I encourage people to read Pete Gill's piece on F365 (which is normally a bit anti-Arsenal): He's really got a grasp of the issues at hand here. OK, it's unfortunate that Eduardo got injured, and it's unfortunate that it was Martin Taylor, because I do believe he's a nice... Walcott scores a peach as Flamini gets injured, and Alex is on Song

05:58 PM, Tuesday, 05 February 2008

Quick update on the Arsenal players involved over the past few days of internationals. Theo Walcott scored another lovely, Thierry Henry-esque goal for the England Under 21's. He's been doing well for them for sometime now, especially on the goalscoring front (he had an... Will Becks Make It?

05:39 AM, Monday, 04 February 2008

Obviously the mini-media-buzz that surrounded Fabio Capello's omission of David Beckham from the England squad was reasonably warranted, but it makes us wonder about Beckham's future, as well as the intentions of Capello. It's understandable that he's well short of... Posted by SM · Comments (1) Topics: England,Premier League,Arsenal,FIFA,UEFA,L.A. Galaxy, arsenal, david beckham,England,Fabio Capello,la galaxy, mls

City FUCup in the FA Cup: Round 4 Round Up

04:28 AM, Monday, 28 January 2008

There were a few upsets in this round of the cup, although 11 of the 20 Premiership sides had already been eliminated in the previous round. Two Premierleague sides went out this time, although only one of them was really an upset. Derby lost 1-4 away to... A Prayer Before Firing - Rafa and Liverpool

07:20 PM, Saturday, 12 January 2008

When Guillem Balague wrote his book Season on the Brink, a tale of the unlikely victory by Liverpool in the Champions League Final, no one expected that title to hold sway on the Reds again so quickly, and for such different circumstances. All season, Benitez has been under fire by the Ame... Something I never thought I would ever see. Ever.

07:24 PM, Friday, 04 January 2008

I don't write on here very often, but I felt compelled to bring this to the attention of anyone who hasn't heard (this would be the kind of person who doesn't listen to national radio or read national newspapers but does read obscure blogs). DAVID BECKAM HAS SIGNED FOR... Posted by jlm191 · Comments (0) Topics: FIFA,Miscellaneous, arsenal, arsene wenger,Cesc Fabregas,DAVID BECKAM,England, london colney

Totaalvoetbal, Bloody Divots

03:17 PM, Thursday, 03 January 2008

Try as I might, the sight of one particular goal still turns my stomach every time I see it. You can watch it here after about two minutes of nostalgia and The Pogues. It’s a simple looping header from Wim Kieft at Euro ‘88, one with a wicked bounce, as well as another Dutchman standing... Happy Holidays

05:35 AM, Thursday, 27 December 2007

I’m sorry if it offends anyone, I was going to say Happy Holidays but I’ve always felt odd saying it, as if I was an outsider, but you know what, too bad. Last week was Hanukkah and next week will be Kwanzaa and the next time you know it’ll be Ramadan or Easter 0r Pass...
