So here is the second part of my review on some of the new football kits for the 2008-2009 season. I took some of the main clubs from the EPL, La Liga, Serie A Italiana, French Ligue 1 to give my point of view on the changes that were made. Some of them can already... Rainy Tuesday and Little Excitement
02:54 PM, Tuesday, 08 July 2008
As the rain falls here in Switzerland I'm sitting watching the Tour de France (plus ca change) and reflecting on a really quiet day. It's so bad that L'Equipe even mentions transfer stories about Andrew Johnson - I'm not sure anyone has actually heard of the player in... 4-0 and all's well. Goal number 1, a right footed half volley from a Kuyt cross. Goal 2 was a looped header over Green with Kuyt the provider again. Goal 3 was a close ranged effort coolly slotted past the keeper after Riise flicked the ball on. The boy done well. And to... When he got going on Saturday you could see that the boy Ryan was thinking "u can't touch this." I reckon this was his best game yet for the Reds. He tormented both of the right backs and was a constant threat. He scored one goal and could have had another two or... This could mark the turning point of the season! Or was it just a win? ... Last minute penalties are a killer. I was sickened at the end of the match at Upton Park. We hadn't played brilliantly, but had created some good chances. A draw and shared points probably would have been the fairest result. But the ref could have given us a peno a few minutes earlier when... I must be getting old because I feel like saying, "In my day the manager would be given more time" Big Sam was under pressure, from the fans and media. The Newcastle fans never wanted him in the first place and the media love a good kicking. The rumours of his demise probably...
