Tivoli-Neu Stadium Overview
Tivoli-Neu Stadion is a multi purpose stadium, located in Innsbruck, Austria, and the home stadium of FC Wacker. The stadium was expanded to be able to hold 30,000 people, in oder to host UEFA Euro 2008 matches. It replaced Tivoli, a stadium which was shut down after the construction of Tivoli NEU.
Tivoli-Neu Stadion was built in 2000 with a capacity of 17,400 people. For EURO 2008 the stadium has been to accomodate 30,000 people. It will be the host stadium for three group-stage matches, scheduled in June 2008.
Stadium History
The ground-breaking ceremony for construction of the New Tivoli stadium was held in February 1999.
Under the financing of the city of Innsbruck, Tyrol, the Republic of Austria under the construction of ISpA (Innsbrucker sports facilities deployment and recovery GmbH), a new sports and leisure park called Tivoli was built.
The new Tivoli stadium has an audience capacity of 17,400 covered seats and standing room, increased to accommodate about 32,000 fans for the UEFA European Football championships. Three additional stands were constructed especially for the tournament, and after the three matches the stadium will be reduced to its former size.

BY Airplane: Innsbruck Airport is the largest in Western Austria. It is busiest during the winter travel season.The main airlines that fly into Innsbruck are Tyrolean Jet Services, Welcome Air, and Austrian Arrows.
Bus: #A service from Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof heading towards Stadion, get off at the Stadion stop or the #F service to Landessportcenter then a 4 minute walk; or the #J service from Innsbruck Landesmuseum. Get off at Landessportcenter, then a 4 minute walk.
